Textbook Feedback (2002): Textbook Feedback is based on the use of
feedback loops in mechanical engineering. The sound sources are audio
feedback along with a mechanical engineer reading from a text book
about using feedback for the control of systems. During the course of
the piece, the engineer's words are never discernable to the listener,
the same way that an engineer's tests and calculations are never
presented to the user in the final product. This piece is about
habitually overlooking the process of construction and focusing only
on the final product.
